Fairy Glen Local Nature Reserve is a beautiful wooded dingle following the course of the river, Afon Colwyn, into the heart of Old Colwyn. There are a variety of trees and woodland flowers such as Wild Garlic, Wood Aneomones, Violets and Bluebells. This sheltered valley, with its damp shady slopes and gentle stream, is a peaceful place to visit and a haven for wildlife. Near the stream, look out for Grey Wagtails as they flit from rock to rock catching insects for their young. If you are lucky, you may glimpse the Dipper as it flies along the stream.
