One of Wales' best kept secrets, The Wildlife Trusts New Grove Meadows Reserve provides an unforgettable sight in May and June when thousands of Orchid spikes, set against other wildflowers, give a wonderful display of colour. It is one of the best wildflower grasslands in Wales. From the reserve there are superb views across fine lowland scenery to the Great Skirrid and Sugar Loaf mountains. The reserve is home to many species of insects, birds and small mammals including Dormice.
